EMPLOYEE RELATIONS ADVISOR – Botswana Telecommunications Corporation


Reporting to the Head of Employee Relations, the incumbent will drive high levels of employee engagement and satisfaction and provide advice to line managers on the management of employee relations, to ensure compliance with BTC policies relating to employee relations.
They will provide procedural advice and information to line managers in managing local industrial relations and employee relations issues and should collect information relating to industrial disputes and assist the Head of Employee Relations in developing a BTC strategy to resolve them.
They should be up-to-date or knowledgeable in Collective Bargaining Agreements, National Employment and Trade Unions Legislation and ensure internal compliance.
They should develop means of ensuring harmonious relations between employees and line managers. They should also monitor employee relations trends and advise the business on the right strategies to enhance stable employee relations climate.

REQUIREMENTS

Degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations or equivalent with five (5) year’s professional experience in the field of Employee Relations in a large Organisation in which two (2) years’ should have been dealing with discipline or grievance management in a large Organisation. Membership of a professional body will be an added advantage.
