MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer of the Botswana Tourism Organisation, the incumbent will be tasked with designing, driving and ensuring the successful implementation of the Kasane-Kazungula Re-development Project on a turnkey basis in pursuit of the intended Vision: Kasane to become a green and clean eco-tourism destination of choice, and Kazungula as a logistics hub.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Project manage the Kasane-Kazungula Redevelopment Project (KKRP)
Manage all related projects and sub-projects of the KKRP
Establish and manage the KKRP Agency
Develop and co-ordinate all communications on behalf of the KKRP Agency
Source requisite technical assistance following established procurement regulations
Prepare budgets, work plans and project memoranda to solicit funds
Financial management of the KKRP Agency and all related project/sub-project budgets
Monitor and report on all aspects of the KKRP as required by BTO
Master’s Degree in Built Environment disciplines (Land Use Planning, Physical Planning, Urban Planning, Architecture, etc.).
Experience in design, implementation and management of urban Turnkey development projects in an environmentally sensitive area.
Minimum of Fifteen (15) years’ experience in management and coordination of large scale infrastructure related projects.
Stakeholder management and communications at all levels i.e. political, community, private sector.
Terms of employment are negotiable.

The Botswana Tourism Organisation (BTO) is a body corporate established through an Act of Parliament with the mandate to: market and promote Botswana as a tourist destination of choice; promote investment in the tourism sector; as well as grade and classify tourist facilities.
