On behalf of our client in the banking sector, CGP Consultants would like to invite suitably qualified, experienced, innovative and enthusiastic candidates to apply for the above position.

Main Purpose of the Job

The Head, Enterprise Risk will be responsible for managing the risk of loss resulting from inadequate or failed internal processes, people, systems and/or external events, as well as initiating measures/controls for minimising/preventing losses arising from the above risks.

Job Responsibilities

Reporting to the Divisional Director the incumbent will be responsible for maintaining the Bank’s enterprise, credit and information risk management frameworks. They will also be responsible for coordinating the training of managers and staff on enterprise, credit, information risk management processes and fraud prevention.

Furthermore, the incumbent will be responsible for coordinating enterprise, information and credit risk data collection/assessments, consolidating enterprise, information and credit risk reports and monitoring risk mitigation.

They will also be responsible for coordinating credit application reviews and sanctioning credit applications within delegated limits. Lastly, the incumbent will be responsible for developing and implementing fraud management policies and procedures; ensuring fraud investigations and reporting; overseeing the maintenance of security information; physical security evaluations and audits; and physical security assurance.

Academic Qualifications and Experience

The candidate should have attained a Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business Management, Financial Management, Law or equivalent. A relevant Master’s degree would be an added advantage. S/he should have at least eight (8) years’ post qualification experience in a related field, preferably in a financial institution.
