INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT) OFFICER

SALARY SCALE: C3 (P92, 808-108,732 per annum)
LEAVE: 25 working days per annum

QUALIFICATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology with emphasis on Programming and Database Management.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Maintenance and support of Government systems/ database at district level.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

•Assist in the day-to-day technical support of applications and systems used in the office.
•Data validation and consolidation
•Backup system and user data
•Attending to faults with assistance of senior staff where required.
•Trouble shooting network problems
•Assists in managing Active Directory server.
The tasks involved include:
Management of the database systems
Configuring mail accounts officers and supporting the roll out of new applications
Setting up new users accounts and profiles and Creating mailing groups for different users
Resetting forgotten passwords for users
Assist staff to set systems or resolve issues.
•Attend to any other assignments as may be given by superiors
