Job Description VACANCY: IT TECHNICAL SUPPORT OFFICER

Main Purpose:
Maintain the computer systems of the organization, ensuring that they run smoothly and providing technical support and advice to computer users
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Installs and configures computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners
• Plans and undertakes scheduled maintenance upgrades
• Sets up accounts for staff, ensuring that they know how to log in
• Diagnose the nature of computer problems
• Investigates, diagnosing and solving computer software and hardware faults
• Repairs equipment and replacing parts
• Obtains replacement or specialist components, fixtures or fittings
• Maintains records of software licenses
• Manages stocks of equipment, consumables and other supplies.
• Shift and on-call work may be required, particularly where computing equipment is in continual 24-hour operation

Qualifications:
