Overview

Orange invites candidates who wish to be part of a dynamic workforce to apply for the above position.

Reporting to the Data Networking Engineer Lead, the successful candidate will be responsible for the end to end think and building of the Data networking solutions.
The main duties include but are not limited to:

To support, maintain and make network configurations in the Orange Botswana IP network.
To work and support other engineers to ensure best in class quality of service and experience for Orange Botswana customers with more focus on B2B customers.
To support, maintain and make network configuration on B2B customer’s internet links.
To support and maintain network equipment installed for B2B customers both in Orange Botswana and in customer premises Responsible for the end to end engineering, design, implementation and Commissioning of B2B Customers solutions and projects as per the stipulated TAT.
Document and manage all solutions delivered to corporate customers and all changes that are done on the customer side.
Log all changes and solutions provided on the service platforms for business continuity.
Responsible for handing over solutions and products developed to TMC and SMC.
Carry out thorough Technical End to End testing of B2B solutions and projects.
Perform and or support UAT and FUT with B2B customers where necessary and ensure the customer sign the acceptance documents after.
To carry out end to end first and second level support functions for Corporate IP Nodes.
To support where necessary the SMC, TMC and Network engineering sections to troubleshoot any issues and or any projects linked to business solutions.
Report and follow up on faults that occur on all Corporate IP systems including faults under B2B customers.
Ensure best in class quality of service and experience for B2B Customers.
Ensure standards, integrity of the Corporate IP Network and alignment with long term strategy based on network architecture design and guidelines.
Ensure 24/7 system availability, system performance, backup and recovery on all Corporate IP platforms and customer network.
Work with Managed Service provider to analyse and troubleshoots faults on Corporate IP Platforms.
Work with SMC and follow the change management process for all changes, updates, upgrades, patch installations and operations effected on all Corporate IP systems and platforms.
Design, Implement and Commission VAS Services for B2B customers and issue out acceptance documents.
To performance maintenance work for B2B customer networks and their expansions and document the maintenance work carried out.
Work closely with 3rd party vendors in solving any issues that require 3rd level support.
To provide where necessary presales to B2B customers.
To perform any other duties as delegated by the Manager.

Skills:

Very good in IP skills, routing protocols.
Good knowledge of working with switches, Firewalls, routers, webservers, DNS, Cache and related protocols.
Competencies in Linux.
Strong ability to create with an eye for detail.
Ability to work with confidential information and also under pressure.
Customer Oriented.

Qualifications and Experience:

Degree in Computer Engineering /Telecommunications / Computer Science
2 years’ experience in a telecommunications environment.
