Parts Manager

Job description

Inventory Management

  • Responsible for managing inventory based on demand and cost targets
  • Maintain stock at a level that enables internal servicing and repair departments to complete their work without delay
  • However, you will also avoid the costs of carrying excessive inventory
  • Have knowledge of stock-control systems in order to effectively record and analyze the movement of parts
  • You will be in charge of warranty and details of faulty parts
  • Ensure regular communication with the Auto Sueco warehouse in South Africa for timely delivery of parts in Botswana

Logistics

  • Control parts import logistics to ensure on time delivery of parts to meet customer expectation

Sales

  • Sell parts to customers, in addition to meeting internal repair requirements
  • You will be responsible for the parts plan promotions to increase sales
  • Identify prospects for volume sales, such as fleet operators or independent service and repair centers
  • Maintain regular contact with major customers to build loyalty and ensure long-term revenue
  • You will also be responsible for operating a retail sales counter for customers
  • Do regular visits to customers to maintain relations

Customers

  • Build relationships with customer to ensure Auto Sueco is a trusted and reliable supplier
  • Lead to more open communication with customers to allow you in handling problems such as missing items and incorrect orders or charges
  • Negotiate return terms with customers

Team Management

  • You will be responsible for supervision of staff in the parts department
  • You will be responsible for hiring employees for your department and arrange training so that the team members have the product knowledge and customer service skills to provide high levels of customer satisfaction

Requirements, Education and Experience

  • Higher Education Degree and/or proven experience in similar function above 5 years
  • Autonomous and dynamic
  • Good technical knowledge of logistics
  • Understanding of sales concepts and techniques (preferably)
  • Business focused, target-driven with “self-going” initiator skills
  • Strong customer orientation and organizational skills
  • Good command of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
