Recruitment Coordinator

Purpose of the Recruitment Coordinator:

Supports the operations through the recruitment and selection of competent and capable human resources, in a timely manner.

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Drives the implementation and execution of  the recruitment strategy;
  • Manages the overall recruitment and selection process,  ensuring the consistent application of policy and procedure in respect of advertising, shortlisting,  interviewing and the screening of potential candidates;
  • Is a key interface with the various contractors, ensuring their recruitment framework is aligned and consistent with Khoemacau’s practice;
  • Keeps line management informed of the progress associated with the various recruitment initiatives;
  • Responsible for the management of the online recruitment portal and database;
  • Manages and updates the various community based job seekers’ databases;
  • Responsible for all associated administration and record keeping;
  • Moderates and evaluates the recruitment process, continuously looking for opportunities for improvement;
  • Leads a team of recruitment officers, ensuring their performance meets the business’s needs; and
  • Generates weekly and monthly reports, tracking the various key performance areas associated with recruitment and selection.

Minimum qualifications, experience and skill requirements:

  • Degree in Human Resources;
  • 8 Years relevant post graduate experience, of which a minimum of 3 years must be in the mining industry;
  • Passion for recruitment and selection;
  • Experience with working with online recruitment platforms as well as external recruitment partners;
  • Experience with integrating social media and recruitment searches;
  • Has experience using various selection methodology, physical and functional testing as well as psychometric assessments;
  • Must demonstrated a customer service orientation;
  • Excellent planning, organisational and administration skills;
  • Must be computer literate, with strong attention to detail;
  • Must possess a valid drivers’ licence; and
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
