Job Description: Main Purpose of the Job

To support SKA related projects, Astrophysics laboratory and provide required technical expertise enabling the laboratory to function effectively whilst adhering to correct procedures and health and safety guidelines and to support astronomical instrument design, construction, performance evaluation, operation, maintenance (both preventative and corrective) and use with a high order of availability. The incumbent is further expected to provide support of RF Interference, environment and similar monitoring systems. Support integration of telescope instrumentation with related software and data management system (includes archival and retrieval).

Preferred Skills: Academic Qualifications

  • A Bachelors Degree in Physics or Electronics/Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent.

Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years experience or 2 years working experience in a teaching lab.
