Multi-national company in the facilities management industry is looking for a Site Manager for their branch in Botswana.

This person will be responsible for the entire operations process in the branch and plan for the smooth and most cost effective running of the department

• Management of operational assets including stock, consumables, maintenance requirements of assets.
• Responsible for planning and distribution of company assets to achieve maximum efficiency in servicing and collection/ delivery of stock
• Train, maintain and implement logistics standards with regards to efficiency on site.
• Ensure the prevention of vehicle accidents through driver training
• Form part of a national operations pear group to ensure consistency of process and reporting throughout the group as well as the sharing of best practices
• Issuing of daily work and reporting daily to site appointed line manager and line manager on any variations from prescribed work
• Overall responsibility for Health and Safety in operations
• Recruit staff, performance manage subordinates, discipline and dismiss in a manner that ensures that the company gets maximum productivity whilst not exposing the company to any risk
• Ensure staff are trained and motivated to assist them in growing and achieving goals in line with the company vision
• Manage clocking times and overtime on a daily basis, to ensure clocking accuracy and eliminate excess overtime
• Creating and maintaining Health & Safety, and site files
• Ensuring that all sanitation standards are in place on site but not limited to:
1. All surface and underground toilets are serviced and cleaned
2. All septic tanks are pump out as per site instruction
3. All Hygiene products are serviced and in working condition
4. All staff use correct PPE
5. All mine regulations are adhered to
6. Standardising practices on all underground mine sites
• Daily meetings are completed and recorded with staff, client (s)
• Weekly audits are done on work standards
• Daily checks on work completed.
• Ensures that work schedule is done according to pre-planned work schedule
• Get sign off on invoices and statements. Deliver invoices to shafts, procurement and finance according to payment instruction and procedure
• Assist and oversee with Ad hoc pest control service
• Prepare quotes for client with sigh off from depot manager
• Assist and manage cleaning and hygiene service according to scope of work
• Managing HSEQ standards according to the company and Client’s requirements
• Inform depot/branch manager for any service request not part of the scope of work
• Inform depot/branch manager for any new business or quote requests
• Logistics experience
• Experience in the services industry
• Knowledge of vehicle tracking systems
• Track record in management of skilled/ semi-skilled labour
• Proficiency in Microsoft programmes
• Able to implement change and plan for maximum cost efficiencies
• Experience in underground mining exposure (advantage)
Salary – 5 000 Pula
