Tsholofelo Rehabilitation Centre is a community based Non-Governmental Organisation based in Serowe that exists to provide rehabilitation and advocacy for children with disabilities in the Central District.

Vacancy: SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER
Ref: SET 03/2016

Main duties
•Teaching children with Disabilities using prescribed syllabus by the Ministry of Education, Skills and Development
•Preparation of disabled learner for placement into mainstream schools
•Supervision of staff and guiding pupils
•Provides professional advice and guidance on special education and early childhood education matters in line with recognised policies from the Ministry of Education, Skills and Development.
•Interprets policies and implement classroom regulations and educational policies
•Adhere to all relevant service standards
•Compile and keep progress report/files for each child
•Submits monthly performance reports and quarterly progress reports for students.

Qualifications and Experience
•Degree/Diploma in Special Education specialising in mental ratardation/intellectual dissability
•At least 2 years’ minimum work experience
•Working with people with dissabilities will be an added advantage
