Team Engineers (Pty) Ltd, a company producing mobile units (portable cabins); and prefabricated buildings throughout Botswana, requires the services of a Motswana in the position of Stores Controller, preferably with some relevant experience (including supervision of stores personnel) with the following qualifications and competencies: –

 

Qualifications:

National Diploma in Business Studies/CIPS or any other related discipline

 

Experience:

2-5 years in a similar environment

 

Competencies:

  • Purchasing, Buying skills

 

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

 

  • Good leadership qualities (ability to develop excellent working relationship with staff at all levels)

 

  • Work independently;

 

  • Computer Literacy (use of various software packages)

 

  • Practical knowledge of stock management;

 

  • Ability to bring changes and improvements to management of the warehouse and yard

 

  • Must be able to identify and resolve problems

 

Responsibilities: –

 

Stock Control – setting stock and re-order levels; ordering; accounting for stock; stocktaking; evaluation and selection of suppliers; negotiating prices with suppliers; purchasing, and buying materials, tools and equipment; determining obsolete stock; and controlling materials outside the warehouse; liaise with Management Team to improve efficiencies; and play active role in Management Meetings. He/she would supervise Storekeeper and Assistant Storekeepers; and would be accountable to the Finance Manager.

 

Salary Scale: Negotiable
