Chemonics seeks a HIV/AIDS test and treat scale-up project manager for USAID's Global Health Supply Chain — Procurement and Supply Management Project (GHSC-PSM). GHSC-PSM is the primary vehicle through which USAID procures and provides health commodities, offers technical assistance to improve partner countries' supply chain management, and collaborates with key international stakeholders to support global health initiatives. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee initial scale-up project implementation, including the procurement, warehousing, and distribution of antiretroviral drugs to health facilities in Botswana
  • Ensure global best practices are implemented by utilizing select private-sector approaches to provide a secure, transparent, and reliable supply chain with end-to-end visibility from the port of entry to the patient
  • Work closely with Botswana's Ministry of Health and central medical stores to jointly learn and leverage implementation lessons from the scale-up pilot to ensure a smooth transition to the governm​ent at the end of the project

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in public health, supply chain management, or related field
  • At least 10 years' work experience in pharmaceutical supply chain management, including at least five years' experience managing high-value projects, including budget oversight
  • Experience working on USAID or donor-funded projects preferred
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with multiple stakeholders (including USAID, consultants, health ministries, and international organizations) in capacity-building efforts
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
  • Willingness to travel throughout Botswana as requested
  • Excellent writing and communication skills in English required

PCI seeks an Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) Program Manager for an upcoming project that will provide OVC and their care givers with relevant health, education, economic and social services. It will address weaknesses in linkages and referrals between relevant HIV clinical services (HTC, PMTCT, ART, VMMC and ASRH) and OVC programs, identify pediatric patients who have defaulted from treatment and link them to health facilities and provide the necessary care and support to retain them in care.

Primary Responsibilities:

The OVC Program Manager will be responsible for management of the element related to vulnerable children and adolescents of the project, staffing, work planning and reporting.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree or higher in public health, social work, education, child development or related field;
  • At least 10 years of experience designing, implementing and managing OVC projects;
  • Extensive experience implementing programs that address early childhood development, vulnerable adolescent girls and young women at high risk of HIV acquisition; children and adolescents living with HIV; and HIV-exposed infants, especially from young mothers, parent-child communication, livelihood programs, community mobilization, economic strengthening, child sexual abuse, OVC policy and advocacy;
  • Familiarity with Botswana National OVC and HIV care and support policies and plans;
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills;
  • High proficiency in the use of computer, particularly in Microsoft Office etc.
  • Fluency in English;
  • Experience working with USAID and/or other US Government funding agencies;
  • Experience working in Southern Africa required; strong preference for Botswana experience.

The Monitoring and Evaluation Manager will be responsible for designing and implementing systems to ensure appropriate tracking and assessment of all project activities. S/he will have primary responsibility of reporting on project outputs and outcomes and for ensuring quality of interventions.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree or higher in monitoring and evaluation, public health, epidemiology, statistics or related field;
  • At least 7 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation of OVC projects or similar projects;

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and managing data collection systems; Understanding of data management and basic principles of database design and analysis

  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, including knowledge of common statistical software packages, health information technologies and software applications, relational database systems and web technologies

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

  • Ability to develop and implement quality assurance systems;

  • Familiarity with research and scientific data collection methods

  • Skilled at building strong relationships and building/working with teams; Proven capacity in supervising others as a coach/mentor

  • Familiarity with Government National OVC and HIV care and support policies and plans;

  • Fluency in English;

  • Experience working with USAID and/or other US Government funding agencies;

  • Experience working in Southern Africa required; strong preference for Botswana experience.
