TRAINING CAPTAIN – AIR BOTSWANA

 

 

Purpose of the Job

 

Reporting to the Director, Flight Operations the candidate is responsible for the overall development and execution of training of the Flight Crew.

The general functions, duties and responsibilities include;

 

  • Identifying technical competences required for effective and efficient maintenance of aircrafts
  • Conducting training needs analysis to establish technical training needs for the Cockpit crew
  • Coordinating operational training and maintaining training records of the flight crew
  • Standardisation of training and ensuring execution of training is in accordance with the Operations Manual
  • Analysing and interpreting data from the training feedback and compiling training evaluation reports
  • Maintaining a record of licenses, ratings and route qualifications of each flight crew member
  • Providing training and assistance to new hires to transition to fully-fledged Pilots
  • Trains flight crew in the acceptance and handling of dangerous goods

 

Position Minimum Requirements

 

The position requires a candidate to have attained;

 

  1. ATPL with an English Proficiency endorsement
  2. Valid Instrument Ratings and recurrent checks
  3. A minimum of 3 take-offs and 3 landings as Pilot flying in the preceding 90 days, with a at least 5000 flying hours would be an added advantage
