Job description

Key Performance Areas:

  • Maintaining the general ledger on a monthly basis ensuring accuracy and adequacy of entries posted in the trial balance
  • Prepares journals for all transactions and capture into the system
  • Managing all debtors and creditors for the company
  • Making payments after checking invoices for completeness and compliance
  • Fixed assets register maintenance and preparation of monthly insurance assets schedules to ensure that all company assets are insured
  • Providing assistance to both internal and external auditors
  • Computing VAT and remitting
  • VAT and PAYE to ensure compliance with the Income Tax Act



Qualifications, Experience and Attributes

The ideal candidate must possess the following:

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance for full ACCA or CIMA
  • 1 year experience in a similar or related environment
  • Good people management skills, including managing people dynamics
  • Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office packages and accounting systems
  • Must have good report writing and presentation skills
