Animal Welfare Inspector

The BSPCA is looking to hire an Animal Welfare Inspector. We are looking for a motivated candidate who can assist us with taking animal welfare in Botswana to the next level. The position is an extremely unique one in Botswana, as we are the only fully functional shelter in all of Botswana. If you are passionate about animal welfare and want to be at the forefront of changing it, then this is the job for you.
Duties include: assisting with injured animal / stray animal pick ups, assisting with adoption and home visits, cruelty case investigations, assisting with preliminary office work and administrative work. Computer literacy is a must.
The ideal candidate should have a drivers licence, be physically fit as the hours are long and be able to engage easily and effectively with the public in both English and Setswana, both at the shelter and in outreach events and be committed towards helping us shape the future of Animal Welfare in Botswana. Knowledge and/or a degree in animal sciences and health is an asset.
Might be required to work weekends. Holidays/ sick days in accordance with labour law in Botswana.
