BOTSWANA GEOSCIENCE INSTITUTE
Reporting to Senior Archivist, the Archivist will assemble, catalogue, preserve and manage BGI’s collections of borehole core and rock samples pertaining to Botswana’s geology and mineral resources. The incumbent will ensure that core and rock samples are submitted by exploration companies and the expiry of their prospecting licences and that the core is stored in a manner that preserves it’s integrity and longevity.
Minimun Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
●Bachelor Degree in Geology field from a recognised and accredited institution.
●Ability to conduct geologic logging
●1 year experience in a geoscientific environment
