VACANCY:MANAGER-Administration[3-5year Contract]

JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director,Corporate Services,the Manager Administration will plan,organise and manage administration of records,safety and security and facilities to maximize their availability and useful lifespan in the efficient manner.

VACANCY:MANAGER-Applied Geoscience[3-5year Contract]

JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director-Science Delivery,the Manager,-Applied Geoscience will implement the strategic objectives of the Science Delivery Directorate by excuting collabrative,thematic-based and applied geoscience projects in engineering geology,aquifer modelling,seismology,geohazards and associated environmental geology projects in support and completion of BGI core science programme

JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director-Information Delivery,the Manager Collections,will implement the strategic objectives of the Information Delivery Directorate with regard to the effective management of BGI’s library&associated documentation,publications holdings,the publication shop,the core library,the Museum and Education Centre and the management of physical samples.The Manager Collections will guide collections plans,strategic growth,digitization efforts,inventories,space allocation, and performance metrics

1.5years post qualification in collections care,management,digitization,and records documentation
2.2years should have been at senior management level
3.Sound knowledge of collections management practices and procedures,including the legal and ethical requirements of museum collections
4.Computer proficiency with museum collections databases
5.Experience in conducting collections-based research would be an advantage,as would an interest in creative ways of engaging the public in collection support initiatives
