Job Description: Main Purpose of the Job

To prepare equipment for laboratory/workshop classes, ensure that the equipment within the premises is in working order and maintain inventory of stocks and equipment loans issued from assigned laboratory/workshop.

Preferred Skills: Academic Qualifications


  • Diploma in Computer Engineering /Computer Science or in a relevant field.


  • A minimum of 2 years post qualification experience; working experience in a teaching lab is an added advantage.
  • Practical experience of working with Unix/Linux and Apple platforms and Networking is an added advantage

The position requires the following Competencies/Skills:

  • Good Practical skills in computer maintenance and communication skills; Strong communication ability in English – both written and verbal
  • Ability to effectively present information in all situations to staff, students, and other employees of the organization and to all external stakeholders including suppliers.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Computer skills using MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other relevant software.
  • Team work.
