Role Summary

Maintains and supports the entire electrical and electronic installation of the Hospital premises.Performs preventative maintenance, fault finding and improvements to the current electrical and electronic environment of the hospital.

Key Work Output and Accountabilities:

  • Receives job cards and perform corrective and preventative maintenance
  • Record and keep up to date electrical registers and receives certified new electrical appliances and installs and connect power supply to them
  • Conduct visible inspections of electrical installation
  • Repair electrical abnormalities and faults and report to the Technical Services Manager
  • Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus, such as transformers, motors and lighting using test equipment and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables
  • Adhere to the safety and environment policies and procedures
  • Access control systems and fire alarms
  • Backup generator and automatic change over systems
  • U.P.S systems
  • CCTV systems
  • Medical Compressors Vacuum pumps and gas panels

Inherent Requirements:

  • Diploma / Degree in Electrical and Electronic
  • A minimum of 3 years in a hospital setup will be an added advantage
  • Computer Literacy
  • Flexible working hours including standby
  • Good work ethics
