• Purpose of the Job


Reporting to the Line Captain the candidate is responsible for the safe and cost effective flying of aircraft in accordance with regulatory and Company policies, standards, and procedures. The general functions, duties and responsibilities include;


  • Conducting, in accordance with the provisions of the Flight Operations Manual, airplane operation and post flight duties as assigned by the Captain
  • Carrying out duties concerning the flight in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures
  • Complies with Quality and Safety Management policies and procedures in order to minimize unsafe incidents and accidents
  • Participating in all pre-task hazard identification and risk assessment during flight operations
  • Confirming the safe navigation of the aircraft, maintaining a continuous and independent check upon both the geographical position of the aircraft and its safe terrain clearance
  • Conducting the flight safely and properly in compliance with the flight plan and the Captain’s instructions
  • Reporting to the Captain any safety risks and incidents that may compromise the safety of the aircraft
  • Familiarizing oneself with all applicable regulations, documentation and briefing materials for the intended route of flight, destination and alternate airfields


Position Minimum Requirements


The position requires a candidate to have attained;


  • ATPL or a Commercial Pilot License (CPL) and Instrument Rating
  • A minimum of 1500 flight hours
  • A valid ATR Rating would be an added advantage

  • Stay current with international and local flight regulations

  • Be team players with excellent planning and execution skills
