A member of the Executive Committee (EXCO) and reporting to the Managing Director, the
incumbent will be responsible for implementing and managing the delivery of an integrated and professional human resources management strategy in partnership with the business, aimed at ensuring the ongoing acquisition, development and retention of appropriate human capital aligned to strategic business objectives in order to ensure good performance and maximum returns to the Bank. The position will act in direct partnership with line management and Executive Team to maximise performance and potential, and lead an HR team in their support to assigned client groups through advice on people management issues and organisational solutions. Works with the Group Centres of Expertise and HR Shared Services to ensure each client group receive the required/agreed service levels, appropriate and effective HR solutions to business challenges.

Minimum Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

• Honours Degree in Human Resources/ Industrial Psychology
• Further Qualification in Employee Relations/Human Resources Development will be an
• 5-8 years’ experience in HR management with at least 5 years at senior management
• Prior experience in project management would be an added advantage
• Proficiency in MS Office products (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and HR systems
• Working knowledge of the banking infrastructure within Botswana
• Good knowledge of latest HR trends in the Human Resources Sector
• Excellent working knowledge, understanding and application of Botswana labour law and
regulations with the ability to apply it practically to workplace situations
• Excellent understanding of HR best practices
• Sufficient experience of performance management and working within defined policies
and procedures
• Well organized, dynamic and innovative
• Self-confidence, drive and tenacity
