The role of an Accountable Manager is to ensure the safe, compliant and efficient maintenance of aircraft within the financial means available. The incumbent will be accountable for the operation in terms of the Civil Aviation Regulations as well as ensure financial results of the business as per laid down short- term, mid-term and long-term objectives.

•Ensuring efficient and productive management of staff by promoting innovation/creativeness and ensuring that the service is not compromised through establishing adequate hand-overs and continuation training is done in order to meet standards according to the company training manuals.
•Timeous resolution of people issues raised in various departments in consultation with the relevant authorities and affected parties.
•Deliver reports, budgets and forecast.
•Contribute to marketing and growing the business through efficient and safe delivery of quality service within the agreed budgets.
•Have overall accountability of the Aircraft Maintenance Organisation Quality System.
•Ensuring compliance of various regulations and notices as guided by the respective Civil Aviation Regulations in conjunction with the Quality Assurance Department.
•Work closely with the Safety Manager to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
•Coordinate the compilation of the business status reports.
•Monitoring of time sheets for all employees and provide an analysis as such.
•Ensure the procedures are followed in relation to the management of the stores in conjunction with stores and financial manager, benchmarking against industry best practice work flow process.
•Manage work in progress, ensuring long term work activities are invoiced on a monthly basis, reconciled on completion of the long term work activity and presentation of final invoice.
•Manage all scheduled maintenance activities in conjunction with the Maintenance manager.
•Manage all line maintenance activities in conjunction with the line maintenance manager and ensuring that all line maintenance activities are invoiced on a monthly basis
•Preparation of cost estimates.
•Degree in Business Management will be an added advantage
•Proven working experience in an Aircraft Maintenance Organisation environment at senior Management level.
•Proven record of outstanding staff/ employee relations at senior Management level.
•Excellent knowledge of ICAO based Civil Aviation Regulations
