Description
- Reconciliation and adjustment of various general ledger accounts
- Implementing accounting practices and procedures
- Oversees administration clerks work in maintaining the general ledger and branch administration.
- Prepares related financial reports and statements/or budget analysis
- Compiles, consolidates, and conducts basic analysis of accounting and finance information.
- Assists with the production of monthly and annual financial statements and reports.
- Makes accounting adjustments through appropriate journal entries.
- Assists with monthly and annual account reconciliations and close activities.
- Examines a variety of financial statements and transactions for completeness, internal accuracy, and conformance with accounting standards.
- Prepares tables, charts, and other exhibits for reports.
- May perform less complex accounting projects or participate as a team member on more complex projects.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement processes and procedures that properly capture, track and report revenue and expenditures.
- Compiles, reviews, analyses and records complex financial information.
- Assists in the preparation of audited financial statements.
- Cash flow management.
- Assists with management of annual AOP process and monthly forecasting and reporting.
- Filing of all tax returns including quarterly and annual tax returns, PAYE returns and other statutory returns.
- Management of relationship with bankers.
- Maintain vehicle register.
- Checking and submitting of credit applications, extended terms request and credit limit increase.
- Monitor that regular cycle counts are conducted and report soundness of inventory levels and any deviation to country management.
- Ensure all WIP jobs are closed timeously.
- Attend to both internal and external auditors requests and queries timeously
- Manage the warranty submission process
Qualifications
· B.Com Hons( Accounting), or equivalent degree in Accounting , Finance or related field Computer literacy i.e. MS Word & MS Excel
· IFRS knowledge
· Internal Control
· Accuracy and attention to details
· Analytical skills
· Good interpersonal skills and written communication
· Good understanding of in-country applicable legislations
