VACANCY: ANTI ALCOHOL AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE JUNIOR VOLUNTEERS (GABORONE AREA) (5O POSTS)

BACKGROUND:

Greater Gaborone DHMT in collaboration with Ministry of Health and Wellness, Alcohol and Substance Abuse Division would like to engage community volunteers for the alcohol and substance abuse campaign.

TERMS: 6 months temporary employment

INCENTIVE: Fixed rate of P51 .75 per day worked P30 for transportation per day worked

NB. NO OVERTIME ALLOWANCE NO GRATUITY

QUALIFICATIONS: Junior certificate (JC)

COMPETENCIES:

• Botho
• Sober habits
• Good listener
• Tolerant
• Patient
• Good communication skill

EXPERIENCE:

• Basic counselling skills
• Experience in voluntary work

 

AGE: 18-45 years

1. To do public education on alcohol and substance abuse

SCOPE OF WORK

1. Door to door campaign against alcohol abuse and substance abuse.
2. Focus group discussions.
3. Health talks and community conversations
4. Support group.
