Reporting to Human Resource Manager, the incumbent The Employee Wellness Specialist will lead and coordinate efforts to support the BoFiNet initiative to improve the health and wellness of all staff members.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plans, develops, coordinates and evaluates a comprehensive employee wellness program directed towards reducing health risks and improving health status.
• Research on best practice in the field of employee wellbeing
• Analyzes, interprets, and reports research findings and make appropriate recommendations.
• Heightens the awareness of the factors that can affect health and longevity, encouraging employees to take increased responsibility for their health behaviors.
• Coordinates wellness activities with internal committees and department teams.
• Provide clinical guidance and information that empowers line management and HC with a holistic view of the array of services available to help them to deal with employee health concerns or medical situations in an effective way.
• Assists staff to complete health assessment plans to determine health and wellness needs.
• Assembles data from a variety of sources for use in assessment and planning of health education and wellness programs.
• Determines techniques and procedures for the improvement of health education activities.
• Assists with program budget development and transactions; and monitors monthly expenditures.
• Provides data for long-term planning of the Employee Wellness Program.
• Ensures the timely completion of assigned projects
• Develops and maintains links with community providers of wellness services and coordinates delivery of services to employees.
• Co-ordination of incapacity and disability claims and liaise with the insurance providers.

Academic Qualification and Experience:
The candidate should have attained the following:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Health Education/Community Health or any related area.
• Membership of a health professional body will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of three years of health/wellness programming experience and/or demonstrated competence in health and wellness management.
