The Job
The incumbent will be responsible for, among others, the following:
- Leading and implementing the Company’s strategic and business plans in accordance with the company’s vision.
- Ensuring that the business targets are being met and that all expenditure of the company is within the authorized annual budget of the company.
- Assessing the principal risks of the Company and ensuring that these are being proactively monitored and mitigated.
- Ensuring that the Company has appropriate systems that enable it to conduct its activities both lawfully and ethically, observing all corporate governance principles.
- Communicating effectively with the shareholders, employees, government authorities and regulators, other stakeholders and the public and proactively manage, as well as, enhance the Company’s image in the market.
- Building and promoting a high performance culture within the organisation.
Minimum Requirements
The Person
The right candidate will possess the following:
- A minimum of a Masters Degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Business, Law, or other relevant field
- A minimum of 10 years of proven success in a senior leadership role, preferably in life insurance.
- A Diploma in insurance is a requirement
- Advance insurance qualifications; ACII, ICiBS, etc. will be an added advantage.
