As a Collections Recovery supervisor, you should be able to manage and sustain staff relationships. You should also lead the Collections department function and help in achieving quantifiable results. You should make effective decisions considering arrears improvement. You should also possess experience in finance, legal and more specifically collections. This role will assist to reduce the company’s credit risk in order to increase revenues from loans.

Key Responsibilities
- Management of recoveries
- Investigate non -paying accounts
- Utilize credit bureau- Blacklisting
- Initiate legal recovery process and management of legal accounts.
- Management of issue of summonses
- Monitoring of recovery actions processes.
- Effective and efficient monthly repayments and allocations from external collectors and walk in clients.
- Monitoring of cash receipts.
- Monitoring of physical tracing of clients, cost benefit analysis.
- Management of telephone collections.
- Recommendation of write off.
- Management of disabled and deceased clients.
- Management of customer queries and reconciliation of client’s account.
- Correction of wrong client’s details to assist in collection.
Key Requirements
- 3-5 years’ experience of working as a Collections recovery officer/supervisor or in a similar role.
- Related qualification
- Solid understanding of lending procedures and the collections environment
- Excellent understanding of work control and leadership policies.
- Excellent communication skills for negotiation and reconciliation.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner.
- Ability to manage and handle multiple tasks in an organised manner.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
