Tshukudu Metals Botswana (Pty) Ltd, (TMB) is a Botswana registered Company and an emerging copper producer operating from Ghanzi, the Kalahari Copper Belt. TMB is targeting development of its Motheo Copper mine in 2021 and 2022, with its first production in 2023.

CRANE OPERATOR  (Tandano RT 700) – Tenable in Ghanzi (2 Year Fixed Term Contract)

Job Summary

Reporting to the Projects Engineer, this position is responsible for driving and operating crane and heavy duty trucks for purpose of lifting, loading and transporting heavy equipment and materials throughout the site.

Key Performance Areas

• Drives vehicles or operates crane, adhering to standards operating procedures and National Road Safety Codes and Mine SHE procedures, to safe guard passengers and goods being transported, and ensure continued serviceability of the vehicle
• Liaises closely with and/communicates with Riggers to perform assigned tasks and also to give signals on how load is to be lifted
• Follows signals from Riggers to correctly load heavy equipment or materials on truck or place it on the ground
• Folds back crane and drives machine/truck to transport equipment or materials as required
