FHI 360 in partnership with local civil society organizations in Botswana implements the Accelerating Progress in Communities Project (APC 2.0) project. The APC 2.0 project is a USAID funded project aimed strengthening community’s response towards sustained HIV response in Botswana. The APC 2.0 uses innovative community models/approaches to provide affordable, convenient and client centred HIV and TB prevention, care and support services in Gaborone, Kweneng East, Kgatleng and South East, Ghanzi and Greater Francistown districts.

Summary of responsibilities
The incumbent will be coordinating the implementation of the Accelerating Progress in Communities (APC 2.0) activities in Ghanzi District.
- Act as the APC 2.0 project liason person at district level and provide project oversight and leadership to partner organizations.
- Responsible for ensuring program targets are met for the district by collaborating with technical, program and partner staff to manage program implementation closely.
- Collaborates with in-country technical team, partner managers and headquarters technical staff to ensure the APC 2.0 project is designed and implemented according to USAID, FHI 360 and Government of Botswana program frameworks and standards.
- Guides and provides technical assistance to partner organization in implementing quality and performance management processes in service provision and project management levels.
- Work closely with partner organization in preparation for the Site Improvement and Monitoring Systems (SIMS).
- Facilitates analysis and sharing of APC 2.0 project information and updates with key stakeholders and district levels.
- Maintain a good working relationship with district stakeholders including DAC, DHMT, VMSAC, DMSAC to ensure support for the project.
- Participate in active data analysis and program improvement through analysing project progress and referral data, and liaising with health facility staff and managers for program improvement.
- Organize and coordinate partner monthly meetings to discuss project performance and also resolve challenges that may affect project performance.
- Produce monthly technical and management reports.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences or Related Field.
- At least 5 years of experience with developing international programs and project management experience, particularly HIV/AIDS programs.
- Experience in community based HIV and AIDS programming, and technical assistance to CSOs implementing these programs.
- Effective planning, coordination, program evaluation and project management skills.
- Management, and reporting experience.
- Strong consultative and negotiation skills.
- Budgeting, financial management, and policies and procedures oversight experience.
- Demonstrated public relations and diplomacy skills required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze and establish effective and supportive cross-program coordination, organizational procedures, and management systems.
