EXPLORATION MANAGER (REMOTE MAPPER SPECIALIST)
The successful candidate will be required to fulfil the following roles:
⦁ Technical management of Mineral Services’ proprietary “Remote Mapper” airborne RPA magnetometer system, when deployed to field exploration projects in Botswana and elsewhere in the region;
⦁ Responsibility for field collation, QC and reporting of geophysical data gathered by the Remote Mapper system;
⦁ Project management of field exploration programs (including geochemical sampling and drilling) relating to targets generated from Remote Mapper data or otherwise;
⦁ Project generation, acquisition of Prospecting Licenses and planning of work relevant to kimberlite and base metal exploration;
⦁ Perform aspects of Deep Machine Learning work on Remote Mapper and other geophysical data;
⦁ Management of a heavy mineral separation laboratory and development of relevant SOP’s;
⦁ Responsibility for maintaining exploration databases;
⦁ Reporting and administration relating to Prospecting Licences and other regulatory requirements relevant to exploration program
⦁ Management of strategic relationships with key clients and investors in the region
Minimum qualification and experience requirements
⦁ Minimum of an MSc degree in a relevant geoscience discipline
⦁ At least ten years’ experience responsible for conducting field exploration programs
⦁ Experience and competency operating all geophysical aspects of the “Remote Mapper” airborne magnetometer system, or similar RPA / airborne magnetometer survey systems.
⦁ Strong computer and data management skills,
⦁ Proficiency in specialist software for performing GIS; 3D geological modelling and Remote Sensing duties.
