Purpose of the Role

To carry out geoscientific data collection and provide first pass quality checks and assist in the maintenance of MRM field equipment/assets

Key Job Responsibilities

• Recommends and incorporates cost saving initiatives into budgets
• Carries out geoscientific; geospatial data collection in accordance with MRM standards and procedures using specialised data collection equipment
• Conduct first pass field data quality checks
• Monitors wellfields and pit dewatering boreholes including drilling activities
• Downloads, inputs and archives geoscientific field data into databases and monitoring quality· control of data
• Plans for and carries out maintenance of MRM field equipment and infrastructure for optimal infrastructure utilization throughout the MRM functional areas
• Processes requisitions and stores material acquisitions and sources/acquires consumables across MRM functional areas
• Provides logistical support to contractor c ;onsultants and assisting with installation, inspection and maintenance of various types of MRM equipment and infrastructure
• Plans and execute consignment and transportation of geoscientific samples by securing the relevant permits and security clearance

Other Job Responsibilities

• Adheres to Safety, Health and Environment policies and procedures in areas of responsibility

Education

• Diploma in Geoscience or Equivalent

Experience

3 years post qualification experience in a mining, geoscience/exploration environment

Legal Certification/Professional Registration
