POSITION: Field Technician XI   

LOCATION: Botswana Service

REPORTING TO: Manager

Employment type: Permanent

JOB SUMMARY STATEMENT: The candidate that will be occupying this position will be the support contact responsible for making use of specialised technical tools to address and attend to all technical issues experienced at our customer site. He/she will be site based at Giesecke and Devrient SA in Botswana.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):

• Maintain customer relationships
• Must be able to adhere to and meet with all Customer Service Level agreements
• To Repair, Service and Maintain machines at customer sites on a shift basis
• To assist with troubleshooting and customer complaints
• Action and close all calls within customer Service Level Agreements and Mean Time to Respond/Repair
• Complete administration within time frames as per policies
• Able to develop and prepare reports providing feedback on service interventions
• Must be able to identify opportunities on improving work processes and recommend appropriate action or solutions
• Manage all allocated boot stock (spare parts etc.)
• To assist with various projects as directed by management
• To comply with and maintain Minimum Quality Standards
• Prepared to work shifts and extended working hours on a regular, ad-hoc and short notice basis

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

• Must be living in or willing to relocate to Botswana
• Must be in possession of a vehicle
• Must be in possession of a valid driver’s licence

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• N6 / National Diploma/ Degree in Electrical Engineering
• A + and N + Qualification

EXPERIENCE:

• 5 Years High Speed Sorting or 8-10 years Electro-mechanical working experience preferably in the Banknote Processing Industry
• Essential to have experience in dealing with customers at multiple levels
• Must be able to work unsupervised and with a sense of urgency
