The main duties include but are not limited to;
- Effective management of finance operation on day to day basis and ensure effective working capital management
- Represents in weekly, monthly senior management committee meetings of the Company
- Cash flow management of the Company ensuring sufficient internally generated funds for Its day to day operation and capex spend
- Lead and manage the annual business planning & quarterly forecasting process for MTN Business.
- Presenting Financials of the company to Audit Committee and Operational review meetings.
- Drive cost efficiency improvements through the organisation by implementing effective cost control fools, including budgetary controls, margin improvement programs, active cost reduction etc
- Financial decision support on various key Infrastructure projects & business proposals with clear approved business cases
- Monitor actual spends against budget and ensure financially compliant with all business transactions
- Providing strategic recommendations to the CEO and Senior management on various business proposals and infrastructure investment projects
- Oversee the preparation of group and statutory financial statements of the Company and ensure timely, relevant and accurate financial reporting to key stakeholders
- Approve all finance and accounting transactions and ensure processes/procedures are effective and comply with regulatory and statutory requirements and Croup Finance policies and directives
- Monitor and report financial performance of the Company of regular basis
- Ensure all Financial risks has been addressed and properly governed and assess and report any revenue leakages
- Providing leadership, direction, and management of the finance team
- Establish and monitor performance benchmarks for the financial team In order to ensure the ongoing effectiveness of the division
- Continually develop a culture of strong collaboration and effective team working
- Provide definition of roles, responsibilities, individual goals and performance objectives for the team
- Review and approve all POs, Payments, Contracts, banking transactions, financial entries in the systems etc. s per the Company’s DOA
- Maintains financial integrity of the financial data, financial processes, procedures and financial controls in line with established accounting processes, regulations governing the business and internal control policies
- Liaising with external audits, banks, various internal and external stakeholders
Qualification and Experience
- A Chartered Accountant with minimum of 5 years’ experience 3 of which should be a senior position.
- Must be registered with BICA
