Duties/ Responsibilities: The GM will be responsible for calculating cost estimates, budgets and schedules; selecting appropriate construction methods for the job and budget; explaining contracts and technical information to employees; supervising construction personnel and activities onsite; developing work-arounds for delays and other problems; and hiring and training workers and subcontractors, as well as making sure the project meets all building and safety codes. The candidate shall be responsible for the general operations of the company including operations, finance, HR, sales and marketing. The role summary is; Plan, direct, or coordinate the operations of area of responsibility. Manage the execution of the required work within production plans, project schedules and contractual agreements, ensuring technical excellence and effective coordination of project resources including small civil works. Registration with industry regulators and associations.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Relevant Post graduate degree BSc Degree: Construction Management or Civil Engineering/B Com Honours Business Management or equivalent.
• 8-10 years relevant experience in a senior management role, including Contract Management experience.
• Professional registration would be an advantage.
