relations and employee relations activities within a policy framework agreed by the General Manager Support Services and Human Resources. The incumbent will harmonise Employer/Employee and Union relations through the development and maintenance of sound employee relations, communications systems, strategies and policies In line with Botswana Labour legislation and aligned to the Organisation’s strategy
The candidate will be responsible for developing employee relations policies and procedures, collective agreements. Disciplinary Code of Conduct, recognition agreements and grievance handling procedures. You will be required to ensure the availability of legal opinion on employment matters that may lead to litigation for the purpose of assisting management in their decision-making process
The candidate will provide leadership for the achievement of an enabling and conducive Employee Relations environment by ensuring that BTC conforms to investors’ expectations and complies with national and international employment legislation, regulatory and competition requirements.
The ideal candidate should have a Degree In Human Resources Management or equivalent qualification or equivalent with nine (9) year’s professional experience in the human resources field of which three (3) years should be managerial experience or senior-level employee relations management in a corporate turn-around environment Membership of recognised professional association and a Masters Degree will be an added advantage
