SALARY SCALE: C4/C3 (P75 624.00 – P111 996.00) per annum.
LEAVE: 25 Working Days per annum.
QUALIFICATION: To be considered for appointment to these positions, candidates must have the following qualifications;
• Lecturer II (Welding & Fabrication) – Diploma/degree in Welding and Fabrication or Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering with NCC in Welding and Fabrication or Equivalent.
• Lecturer II (Plumbing & Pipe fitting) – Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering with NCC in plumbing and pipe fitting or Equivalent.
• Lecturer II (Borehole Mechanic) – Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering with NCC in Borehole Mechanic or Equivalent.
• Lecturer II (Electrical) Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent.
• Lecturer II (Panel Beating & Spray Painting) – Diploma/Degree in Automotive Engineering with NCC panel beating & spray painting or Equivalent.
• Lecturer II (Furniture Design and Manufacturing) – Diploma/Degree in Furniture Design and Manufacturing or Equivalent.
• Lecturer II (Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning – Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering with NCC in refrigeration and air-conditioning or Equivalent.
• Lecturer II (Performing Arts) – Diploma/Degree in Music.
• Lecturer II (Jewellery Design) – Diploma/Degree in Jewelry Design or Equivalent.
• Lecturer II (Auto-Mechanic and Auto-Electrical) – Diploma/Degree in Auto-Mechanic or Equivalent.
• Lecturer II (Clothing Design & Technology) – Diploma/Degree in Fashion Design or Equivalent.
• Lecturer II (Hairdressing & Beauty Therapy) – Diploma/Degree in Hairdressing & Beauty Therapy or Equivalent.
• Lecturer II (Machine fitting) – Diploma/Degree in Machine fitting, Metal Machining or equivalent.
• Lecturer II (Hospitality & Tourism) – Diploma/Degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management or equivalent.
• Lecturer II (Heavy Plant Mechanic) – Diploma/Degree in Heavy Plant Mechanic or Mechanical Engineering with NCC in Heavy Plant Mechanic.
EXPERIENCE: Direct entry. Two (2) years relevant work experience will be added advantage.
MAIN DUTIES:
1. Conducts theoretical and practical lessons during institutional terms;
2. Develops programme scheme of work;
3. Conducts tutorials, practical’s and participates in other activities as may be required by the department;
4. Participates in internal assessment and verification of students’ portfolio work;
5. Prepares and implements an annual performance plan and meets with the supervisor to discuss progress, achievements, challenges and obstacles in achieving performance targets;
6. Prepares and submits reports on students’ progress in portfolio building as required;
7. Participates in various college committees and coordinates related activities as may be required;
8. Undertakes any other related duties as required to meet the exigencies of the service.
