The university is looking for suitable candidates to fill the following positions for Gaborone Campus:
Specification
•Manages departmental performance in line with the Botho University strategy
•Coordinates and improve the efficiency of all HR services such as recruitment and selection, payroll, staff welfare, learning and development, industrial relation.
•Develops and implements HR policies
•Promote learning culture by ensuring there is sound Performance Management, Talent Management, Training and Development in place
•Ensure compliance to all employment related regulations
•Contributes to the formulation and implementation of strategic plans
•Manages the welfare of staff across all offices and faculties
•Must be able to prepare departmental budget
•Must be extremely good in Staff Management and ensure timely submission of reports in time to the supervisors.
•Keep abreast with latest technologies, evaluate, recommend necessary hardware, software solutions or equipment to meet the University user requirement and enhance productivity.
•Must be an excellent team leader and supervisor with good public relations skills.
•Responsible for all Human Resources functions in all campuses in Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia and Eswatini
Requirements
•Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related fields
•10 plus years of experience in Human Resource, 2 years should have been at leadership role in at tertiary institution
•Excellent and understanding of local labour markets and employment laws
•Excellent IT skills with a good understanding of HRMS and be a member of Human Resources professional body
•Experience in SAGE HR Premier and SAGE VIP payroll system will be some added advantages.
•Good knowledge of Quality Management Systems
