Opportunities have arisen for the following position:
MATERIALS CONTROLLER – TENABLE IN MAUN
Main purpose of the Job:
To organise, manage and control the operations of the store’s inventory, to optimise the availability of stock requirements, coordinate activities of the main and remote warehouse to ensure accuracy with the laid down procedures.
Key Performance Areas
• Monitors lead times and usage forecasting for all items and corrects deviations to maintain accurate stock levels
• Contribute to the development and revision of procedures applicable to the section on an annual basis as and when required
• Approves new stock applications and liaises with users on the specification and quality of goods to be supplied and review stock holding at main and sub stores.
• Assists with planning of future storage requirements, promote standardization and quality control to optimize operational cost.
• Authorises re- classification of stock in liaison with user departments.
• Coordinates bi-annual stock take exercise and the reconciliation of the stock holding.
• Reviews the receiving and distribution functions on a regular basis and recommends re-allocation of resources where necessary to improve the overall performance of the section
• Minimise audit queries
Qualities:
• Planning, organising and Supervisory skills
• Strong Interpersonal and communication skills
• Stock holding optimisation effectiveness
• Excellent Customer service skills
Qualification and Experience Required:
Degree in Materials Management or related discipline. CIPS foundation stage will be an added advantage.
Experience: At least 3 years relevant professional experience in Supply Chain environment in a major industrial and computerised stores organisation.
