Nursing Services Manager

Role Summary:

The Nursing Services Manager will be responsible for the overall clinical

Nursing Management of the hospital. This includes the co-ordination of all functions and activities related to the provision, promotion and assurance of clinical patient care, via the leadership of a multidisciplinary team in consultation with all relevant stakeholders.

Key Work Output and Accountabilities:

• Coordinate the nursing activities with all hospital departments to ensure alignments to the strategy and goals of the organization.
• Investigate and report all incidents as per Lenmed /Hospital policy.
• Ensure hospital is providing safe, cost-effective quality patient care in line with the Clinical Governance strategy of Lenmed /hospital and evidence-based practice Evaluate patient’s journey through patient experience and stakeholder input
• Effective management of the Nursing budget of the hospital
• Oversees responsibility for nursing education and training to ensure a qualified and competent nursing team
• Ensure best, effective clinical outcomes in terms of quality nursing care

Inherent Requirements:

• Degree in General Nursing
• A valid registration with the Botswana Nursing & Midwifery Council will be a prerequisite
• Post basic qualification in Nursing Administration/ Management Qualification will be an added advantage
• At least 7 years’ experience in a private hospital setting in a management role
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal. Sound financial knowledge and the ability to interpret financial data.
