MAIN PURPOSE
To deliver exceptional customer service. To ensure occupational health and safety standards are met within all store operations and co-ordinate operational activities minimising risk and maximising operational efficiency
KEY OUTCOMES
Demonstrates customer service (Cross Selling and Service)
•Greets, smile and acknowledges customers
•Has sufficient store and product knowledge to address customer’s needs
•Engage with internal and external customers and contractors to ensure service levels are met
•Authorizes at till points when required
Store operations (Knowledge)
•Manage security, cleaning and trolley staff
•Ensure all compliance, checklist and scorecard documentation is completed according to relevant deadlines
•Understand and have thorough working knowledge of all OHASA policies
Adheres to shop keeping disciplines (Presentation)
•Ensure a safe & hygienic environment at all times
Minimizes shrinkage (Knowledge)
•Reporting acts of dishonesty related to shrinkage and fraud to your line manager or shrinkage hotline
•Understand and apply all red flag processes and policies and procedures
•Minimise shrinkage by ensuring stock is received and dispatched in accordance with company policy and procedures.
Plans, coordinates and follow up on activities (Leadership)
•Plans, co-ordinate and follow up on all activities that need to be delivered by the operations team
•Follow upon task completion delegated to staff during their shift
•Give necessary training to team members where training gaps are identified
Demonstrates personal leadership (Leadership)
•Demonstrates self-discipline with regards to attendance, dress code policy, hygiene and timekeeping.
•Facilitate game plan meetings for the operations team.
Requirements
•Preferable Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level
•Available and flexible to work different shifts requirements
•Previous experience in the Retail or Fast Moving Consumer Goods industry, specifically in a stockroom or receiving environment advantageous
