Integrated Primary Healthcare services, and Pharmaceutical Services. The Company is looking for suitably qualified, experienced, self-driven, and dynamic professionals for the following positions.

PHARMACY TECHNICIAN – MAUN

Main Purpose of the Job

Reporting to the Responsible Pharmacist, the purpose of this job will be to process prescriptions and dispense medicines under the supervision of the Pharmacist; provide information education and counseling to patients on medicines health and wellness.

Key Perfomance Areas

• Conducting member counseling on adherence to therapy under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist.
• Assess prescriptions for compliance with legislation, rationality, and safety of prescribed drugs, and take necessary action.
• Participate in internal and regulatory audits
• Manage and evaluate Prime Health pharmacy stock including ordering, receiving, packing and stock take as instructed by the supervisor
• Prepare and submit periodic reports as required
• Maintaining pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed medications and supplies, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipt, and removing outdated drugs
• Ensuring adherence to the regulatory requirements for storage of drugs and medicines
• Management, evaluation, and control of operational costs in the pharmacy in line with the set financial targets
• Implementing and evaluating quality assurance guidelines and practices to ensure currency with regulatory and professional standards.
• Monitor consistent implementation of and adherence to Pharmacy protocols and practices, and update yourself, managers, and staff on developments in professional practice and regulatory requirements in the Pharmacy department.

 

Job Requirements & Qualifications

• You will need to possess a Diploma in Pharmacy.
• A minimum of 2 years of work experience.
