PROGRAMME MANAGER IN INTERNATIONAL ORGANISATION

Duration:       15.07.2022 – 31.07.2024, with possible extension

 

Key Responsibilities

Under the responsibility of the Resident Representative (RR), the Programme Manager contributes to the conceptualisation, planning and execution of areas of intervention and strategies of the FES Botswana office. The Programme Manager

• Contributes to the development of the annual programme activities
• Fosters dialogue between the FES and partner organisations
• Manages and facilitates the implementation of FES activities in cooperation with local and international partners
• Conducts background research on the themes promoted by FES
• Evaluates the implementation of activities and monitors their results and impacts, contributes to improvements and suggests follow-up strategies
• Represents the FES in the absence of the RR
• Other tasks as assigned by the Resident Representative within reasonable scope

Qualifications and Competencies

Bachelor Degree in Political Science or related studies, Master Degree is an added advantage, and a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience. Additionally, the candidate should fulfil the following criteria:

• Display sound strategic thinking and analytical skills
• Able to negotiate and communicate well
• Have a clear vision for the future of Botswana, its political, economic and socio-cultural development
• Able to work under pressure
• Have a working knowledge of ICT technologies and computer applications
• Willing to travel within Botswana and abroad, if needed
• Be fluent in both English and Setswana
• Have a valid driver’s permit
