Basic Function of the Position
Project Assistant will support the Resident Advisor with effective stakeholder communication and coordination of various project activities, tracking functions for status updates, research, analysis, documentation, data collection and other administrative office functions as needed.
The primary duties will be to work with the Resident Advisor to:

- Develop and maintain communication matrix of key stakeholders across various Ministries and other partner agencies including the frequency and the desired method of communication
- Formulate meeting schedules, document meeting notes, collect and disseminate information to appropriate end users as directed
- Track functions assigned to project teams and responsible individuals to update project activities log at each phase of the project
- Conduct research, query databases, collect data, create spreadsheet analyses and cost estimations, and format documents for reporting and presentations
- Coordinate with project leads to formulate training schedules and logistics, update training documents, confirm attendance, compile evaluation forms, and summarize feedback from participants
- Develop a process to follow up with project teams with reminders on what needs to be done on key activities to meet the targeted timeline
- Assign and review the day-to-day work activities of interns from various teams as directed
- Represent the Resident Advisor with counterparts when necessary to evaluate situations and determine proper course of action including immediate communication as needed
- Provide interpretive translation services at all meetings and trainings between the Advisor and the counterparts
- Perform other duties as needed for the overall implementation of the project activities including support to Intermittent Advisors

- Computing and analysis
- Fluency in written and oral English and Setswana
Desired Skills
- Previous experience working with Ministries/Institutions of Government of Botswana
- Basic knowledge in budgeting and financial management processes of Government of Botswana
- Experience with project support and coordination at various levels
- Ability to communicate effectively with all officials and the counterparts
- 1-2 years’ experience in public finance management reform programs
Education
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required in Business, Accounting or related fields
Work Schedule
- Initially part-time with transition to fulltime beginning in winter 2022
