QUALITY CHECK PERSONNEL (x2 positions) – AECI Botswana

(7 YEAR CONTRACT)

Minimum Requirements

The incumbent should have the following:

• At least a Cambridge O’ Level/ BGCE certificate or equivalent
• At least two years’ experience in a Prime, Load, Tie and Shoot (PLTS) Open Pit environment
• Valid driver’s License
• Valid Open Pit Blasting Licence
• Botswana Citizen
• Must be fluent in both Setswana and English
• Knowledge of and experience in AECI products is an added advantage

Core Responsibilities

• Safety recognition and adherence
• On-the-bench blast preparation and explosives quality check duties
• Stemming height measurements during charging
• Collaborate with charging and blasting teams for performance of relevant on-bench activities
• Loading and off-loading of explosives at the magazines and on- bench
• Housekeeping duties for the plant, explosives magazines, vehicles and on-bench as required by company procedures
• Safe keeping of quality check tools and equipment
• Adhering to all safety procedures as per the company rules and regulations
