REGISTERED NURSE / ASSISTANT NURSING OFFICER (x 8 POSTS)

Qualifications: Degree / Diploma in Nursing.

Experience: Entry Level. No experience is required

Certification: Registration with the Botswana Health Professions Council.

Salary: C4/3/2/1 (P93 667 –P197 892per annum)

Housing &Upkeep Allowance: P309 per month

Leave: 25 working days per annum.

1. Optional Contributory Medical Aid Scheme (Government pays 50 % while employee pays 50%)
2. Contributory Pension Scheme (Government pays 15% while Employee pays 5%)
3. 30% Nurses Overtime Allowance as prescribed by DPSM.

Job Purpose: Provide quality patient care and nursing services in the health facilities.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Implement nursing policies and procedures to ensure compliance to set standards.
2. Implement preventive, curative and rehabilitative care of patients to ensure quality health care.
3. Provide comprehensive and timely health services to patients to ensure quality health care.
4. Implement quality improvement initiatives to ensure adherence to set standards.
5. Contribute in research to create a body of knowledge and evidence based practice.
6. Implement and monitor quality assurance activities through the use of guidelines and standards for improvement of service delivery.
7. Implement Performance Management Systems to ensure achievement of objectives.
