Job Summary
To provide support service on a broad spectrum of employee rewards initiatives including the design/development, implementation and administrative service of total rewards programme in line with the business reward strategy.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree in Social Sciences or related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ post qualification experience.
Pre appointment Training
- Conflict management and negotiation skills.
- Facilitation skills.
Key activities
- Assists in the compilation of budget by providing information based on functional/sectional requirements.
- Participates in the design/ development and implementation of compensation models, employee recognition/rewards programmes and initiatives that support the business reward strategy.
- Scans the environment for industry rewards best practice benchmarking principles and provides reports on rewards market trends through research and analysis of salary surveys (internal and external) to ensure competitive positioning and internal equity of the business.
- Collates, analyses and interprets data to support benefits and compensation reviews, audit and maintenance processes
- Gathers and reports on key metrics used to evaluate total rewards programmes and recommends course of action where data suggests opportunities for continuous improvement exists
- Provides support, guidance and advice to Line Managers and HR community on use/implementation of the total rewards programmes to ensure consistent application aligned to Company corporate governance principles.
- Develops and maintains record – keeping systems for the Rewards section.
- Administers the annual compensation and bonus cycle in accordance with the business rewards framework.
- Coordinates and manages the implementation of a total job evaluation process for all Debswana Operations in with the job evaluation system/s in use.
- Provides a professional investigative service into a broad spectrum of operational processes, systems and procedures for potential improvement in productivity and resource utilization through work methods and motion timing studies.
- Initiates, monitors and controls short term sectional projects to ensure attainment of desired results
- Identifies, Coordinates and manages the implementation of and adherence to legal and corporate governance principles/ requirements in area of responsibility.
- Implements knowledge management principles through application of tools and methodologies to continuously improve and sustain business performance.
- Identifies and implements creative and innovative ideas to continuously improve and sustain business performance
- Establishes and maintains effective relationships with all key stakeholders and partners to ensure achievement of business objectives
