QUALIFICATIONS: LLB

EXPERIENCE: At least two years as Attorney or Equivalent

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To provide legal services embracing advice on all legal matters pertaining to the Land Board.

DUTIES




• Advises where amendments of statutes are proposed either by administration, ministry or by way of motion.
• Studies and analyses matters/cases referred involving the Land Board and distinguishes those matters that have legal implications and those that relate to policy interpretation and advises accordingly.
• Litigates where Land Board is being sued or suing
• Examines and advises Land Board on draft documents produced by external bodies for local authorities to sign.
• Liaises with external attorneys representing the Land Board in various matters and instructs briefs, obtains updates and submits reports on such matters.
• Supervises and directs subordinates in accordance with set standards
• Undertakes any other related duties assigned by management.
