SHE OFFICER – Thotoetso Electrical & Engineering

 

We have an exciting position for a SHE Officer who will be responsible for legal compliance and assist in the maintenance of the SHE management programmes for Thotoetso Electrical & Engineering (Pty) Ltd at Lucara Botswana.

Job Description

Develop and maintain an inspection and evaluation program for workspace environments, equipment and practices in order to ensure compliance with SHE standards and regulations.

Communicate risk control information by analyzing data, developing leading indicators, producing and presenting required reports and advising management accordingly.

Facilitate the investigation of incidents to identify root causes and determine how such incidents may be prevented in future.

Supervising junior health and safety employees.

Provide assistance in determining Health and Safety Tender requirements for the project include project specific risks

Advise project team on the application and interpretation of policies, rules and regulations of shareholder and legislator requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or Environmental Sciences or equivalent
• 3 years post qualification experience in a mining area
• ISO 45001 experience
