Job Purpose
Overall management and responsibility for Global Markets Sales Desk within Country Global Markets. This entails building and managing a team that will support a strategic and coordinated sales focus to service the Global Markets needs of both existing and new business clients.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
The role is complimentary to the total sales business, it is imperative that the Client execution person be fully entrenched into the sales management process in terms of decisions and thinking. This includes helping and pushing the thought boundaries around what the business can look like with the help of eCommerce.
To ensure that there is a real-time sense from management on exactly what the goal is and where the business stands relative to that goal. There needs to be a strong sense from management that there is a clear plan of action in terms of achieving the goals.
Reporting and MIS.
To manage clients as a secondary liaison person
To leverage off the existing sales teams to create scale.
Competitor Insight: To be at the forefront of what is happening locally in terms of competitor activity from an electronic perspective. The person needs to communicate these developments effectively so that the business is fully aware of the competitive landscape.
Formulate and drive a strategy to pursue clients that have never dealt Global Markets business with Country.
Manage and continuously drive a strategy to pursue clients already dealing with other Product houses but not Global Markets, but having Global Markets business.
Maintain close contact with all internal stakeholders. (e.g. Client Coverage. TPS and PBB) to leverage off their deals that might have Global Markets/Foreign exchange
Preferred Qualification and Experience
First degree in Business / Finance related programme
ACI Dealing Certificate / Qualification
Minimum of 3 years depth of experience and exposure in Global Markets and with Banking background. A good working knowledge of foreign exchange and money markets and an intermediate understanding of other Global Markets products
A working knowledge of foreign exchange, interest rates, equities and an intermediate understanding of other trading products. A good appreciation and knowledge of Risk Management, covering Operational Risk, Market Risk and Credit Risk. A good understanding of macroeconomics and current economic trends; Exchange control rules and regulations applicable
Knowledge/Technical Skills/Expertise
General experience in the operational, products, client management in Client Coverage; Transactional Products & Services or Investment Banking; Business Banking at an entry or intermediate level.
Demonstrates and imparts broad technical expertise relevant to Sales, Trading & Treasury functions. Demonstrates expertise in market intelligence and relevant competitor understanding. Knowledge of the various GM Trading systems.
Knowledge of equity derivative product, electronic trading engines, prime brokerage and other institutional equity products.
Knowledge and understanding of costing, budgeting and finance concepts and the understanding and application of related processes and procedures. Aware of Budget targets and Management Expectations. Consistently enhances the products contribution resulting in reduced cost and/or increased revenues and profits.
